Become a Volunteer
RAD Camp is a volunteer run non-profit organization. At RAD, we offer one-on-one attention with a 1:1 ratio of camper to counselor, and our family of volunteer counselors and staff provide the very best care and enthusiasm for our campers. Each volunteer comes highly recommended and goes through personalized interviews and a background check. Once a volunteer arrives at Camp, they receive training in communication, behavior modification and basic first aid.
Returning Counselors, who have already participated at RAD, Mini or JR., will receive an email with a link to our online registration page in February 2020. The deadline to register for all Camps is April 15, 2020. If you have not received the link in mid-February, please contact us immediately.
Are you over the age of 16 and wanting to create friendships and memories that last a lifetime? Are you outgoing, fun loving and selfless? If so, Camp is for you! Our New Volunteer Application will be available beginning in January 2020. Requirements will include an Application Form, Picture, One Page Essay and Two Letters of Recommendation. Once everything is complete, please mail it as a whole to the RAD Office by April 15, 2020.
We would like to remind everyone that our Camp policy is that all campers and volunteers must be current on immunizations. That being said, all participants are required to scan and email a copy of their immunization record to the RAD Leadership Team. Here is our list of required immunizations: Tdap or Td, Hib, Polio (IPV), Hepatitis B (HepB), MMR and Varicella (VAR).
If you are not able to send us a copy of the participant’s immunizations record, you are required to send proof of a Titer Test, which is a laboratory blood test that verifies the presence of certain antibodies in the blood stream.
We truly appreciate your cooperation and support as we ensure a safe environment for all campers and volunteers at Camp!
